8 Hour Mold Remediation Training: 


This course provides an overview of activities involved with mold remediation.  Participants will gain an understanding of mold ecology, health effects and how to conduct an initial inspection.  Participants will learn about conducting a visual inspection and how to use non-invasive tools such as infrared cameras and moisture meters.  Students will learn the sampling techniques available to find hidden mold and the limitations of these techniques.  Students will learn how to identify the most common fungi related to water damage.  Students will learn how design a mold remediation containment and understand the safety considerations.  Students will learn about methods to prevent water events and mold growth in buildings.

All hazardous materials courses are designed to meet OSHA training requirements under 29CFR1910.120(q) (HAZWOPER) for hazardous materials emergency responders as mandated by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA).
