24-Hour OR 40-Hour
Emergency Response Training:
All participants are required to have a physician complete a medical evaluation and clearance form prior to the course.
Consider this series of courses if you are an emergency responder, safety professional, plant manager, building engineer, maintenance personnel, industrial hygenist, or involved in emergency response.
8 Hour Emergency Response Refresher: $225
- This course is designed to meet the OSHA requirement for annual refresher training for individuals who have previously completed the 24- or 40-hour Safety and Health Training.
24 Hour Emergency Response Training: $470
- The 24-Hour course consists of three days of lectures, discussions, classroom demonstrations, small group exercises, and hands-on training. This Operations Level course is designed to provide training required by OSHA 1910.120 to respond to hazardous substance releases with the purpose of protecting persons, property, and the environment from the effects of the release and to contain the release. Emphasis will be placed on responding in a defensive manner without actually trying to stop the release.
40 Hour Emergency Response Completion: $480
- This 16 hour course of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience to complete the technician 40 Hour course. (The 24 hour course is a prerequisite.) The Technician Level course is designed to provide training required by OSHA 1910.120 to respond to releases with the purpose of stopping the release.
Consider this series of courses if you are hazardous waste site worker, site safety officer, driller, engineer, geologist, chemist, consultant, industrial hygenist, supervisor, site inspector or regulator.
8 Hour Waste Site Worker Refresher: $225
- This course is designed to meet the OSHA requirement for annual refresher training for individuals who have previously completed the 24- or 40-hour Safety and Health Training.
24 Hour Waste Site Worker Training: $470
- The 24 hour course consists of three days of lectures, discussions, classroom demonstrations, and small group exercises. Emphasis will be placed on responding in a defensive manner without actually trying to stop the release.
40 Hour Waste Site Worker Training: $480
- The course builds on the 24 hour training and integrates 16 hours of additional training including instructional activities, lectures, discussions, classroom demonstrations, and small group exercises.
All hazardous materials courses are designed to OSHA training requirements under 29CFR1910.120(q) (HAZWOPER) for hazardous materials site workers as mandated by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA). Continuing Education credits offered.
